Диана Белтран (или более правильнее с испанского как Бельтран) превращает обычную цветную бумагу в растения, птиц и животных, которых сложно отличить от живых. Свои необыкновенные скульптуры из бумаги она создает с невероятным вниманием к деталям, вручную и в натуральную величину.
Диана Бельтран (Diana Beltran Herrera) родилась в 1987 году, и с детства была увлечена аппликацией, коллажами и живописью и это увлечение помогло ей определиться с будущей профессией.
Получив образование по специальности промышленный дизайн в университете Хорхе Тадео Лозано, она закончила Академию искусств Герреро (экспериментальный рисунок), а когда переехала в Финляндию окончила школу «Suomenkielinen» (керамическая скульптура) в Хельсинки.
На сегодняшний день Диана Белтран Херрера уже успела принять участие в нескольких «сборных» выставках, а также публиковалась в журналах.Многие ее «скульптуры» находятся в Ботанических Садах в Пенсильвании (Longwood Gardens), и в Музее Искусств Корнелла во Флориде (The Cornell Fine Arts Museum).
Diana Beltran Herrera (b. 1987 Colombia) studied at the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University in Bogota, Colombia where she complete after 5 years her education in design by the 2010. She also completed studies in experimental painting at Guerrero Arts Academy (Bogota) and in 2011 she moved to Helsinki, Finland where she studied ceramic sculpture at Suomenkielinen School.
During her stay in Helsinki, she was invited by Hanni Bjartalid (faroes-danish artist) to cooperate building the exhibition «Is anybody home» display at Nordastlantes brygee Copenaghen, Denmark (oct 2011-jan 2012) which was her first spot as an international artist.
Her work is a point of reflection that reveal the sense and preocupation she has about the little interest in the relation between human and nature in the postmodern time. The paper as a medium allow her to emphatize in concepts of temporality and change; paper contents a life and a process of transformation, same process of the subjects she talk about in each work.
Since 2011 she has been participating in group and solo exhibitions most of them in her country of origin. In 2012 she had the oportunity to complete 2 solo exhibitions at Espacio ARTNEXUS (estudio del impacto de un movimiento en el espacio) in Bogota and Garaje Gallery (posturas) in Bogota.
Currently Diana is working in her first commission project for the agency 215mccann in San Francisco, USA, and will be part of the group exhibition «the art and soul of paper» with worldwide paper artists that will take place in Norwich UK during spring.
Diana is working in her next exhibition, studying 3 diferent parts of the world: England (where she is currently), Usa, and Colombia, generating her own view of the weather as a subject of change in the realization of a landscape.
