Хумаюн Куреши (Humayun Qureshi), известный в сети под ником octane2, живет в Австралии, с 2014 года в Калаундра. Humayun Qureshi. Ему 39 лет, работает системным администратором UNIX, а фотография для него любимое хобби. Humayun Qureshi создает фотографии в жанре астрофотография, жанр который больше всего он любит. Отличные фотоработы у него получаются и в пейзажной съемке.
Хумаюн Куреши также снимает и в жанре портрет и свадебная фотография. Humayun Qureshi мечтает больше уделять времени своему любимому хобби, фотографии звёзд, но пока не получается. По этому поводу он пишет: «Прошло уже 6 месяцев с тех пор, как у меня появилась новая CCD-камера (астрофотография) и телескоп верхнего уровня. Новая камера еще не была использована. Удручает меня думать, сколько денег я потратил на эти игрушки, и они сидят там неиспользованными.
Причины неиспользования вызваны нелепой погодой, а также я «наводнён» работой в данный момент, возглавляя наш проект обновления Solaris 10 (я — системный администратор UNIX) и сталкиваюсь с проблемами на каждом шагу. Этот проект, надеюсь, завершится в конце ноября, и я не хочу этого делать снова. В следующий раз кто-то может справиться с головной болью.
Hoping to take a few days off in the next few weeks and travel to the bush to do some astrophotography. The weather will no doubt conspire against me, as it did in early September when I went to Albury/Wodonga for a star party and it rained the entire time. My notebook went for a swim in the rain and it’s dead now. Trying to salvage everything off the old hard drive at the moment is another headache. The bad weather is due to an episode of La Ninã. Cloud and rain is expected to last well into 2011.
I am really looking forward to taking a break. A break for me means traveling with my camera, whether it be locally or overseas. I wish to visit the Pacific North-West of the US and/or Canada, as well as another trip to New Zealand, or a trip to central Australia. Having been born in this wonderful country, I regret not having seen all of it. Maybe time to do that now. Nothing makes me happier than capturing a pure landscape in pure light.
In other news, I’m kept busy with weddings and portraiture work. I love doing both, but, don’t want to do either for too long. Anyone who does both professionally knows how tiring and stressful people photography is. You either get the shot, or you’re permafry. My web site is nearing completion; I work on it whenever I get a moment. I will let you all know in a journal entry all about it when it’s live, so you can all rush there and purchase prints.
